Glamping, Shooting Stars, City Escape, Farm Experience

We invite you to stay with us in our Glamping Tent located on our berry farm. Photos courtesy of 365 Atlanta Traveler.

Whether you are looking for an excuse to escape the city or visit a new location outside your usual dwelling, we invite you to experience our glamping outdoor opportunity here on our berry farm. Located on the far west side of the farm with the best overlook of the berries and lower pasture and creek land, our glamping tent stay includes a queen sized air mattress on a wooden frame, 2 bedside tables, a small wood-fired interior heater (for winter), a NASA inspired biodegradable water-less toilet (with a proper toilet seat!) and water-proof thick canvas to keep you protected from the natural elements. There’s an additional 6 person tent available too (see photos below). The deck outside the tent features 2 adirondack chairs plus there is a sun-warmed shower, picnic table, fire pit, and basic cooking utensils. We have a proper restroom with hot water located on the outside of the farm house if you need a “real” toilet or washing facilities; this is a 5min walk depending on your pace from the tent. Extras may include linens with your bed already prepared for your arrival, an ice chest with ice, mini-fridge (located outside farm house), extra firewood, farm dinner with us, berry picking in season, and farm tour.

On a clear night, the stars are super bright because we are in a “dark zone” outside of the city lights where you can view shooting stars nearly every time. Besides star gazing, you may enjoy a book, pick berries, or walk around our farm. We highly recommend visiting Watson’s Mill State Park (30min drive) which has some nice hiking trails, picnic areas, swimming holes, and one of Georgia’s iconic historic covered bridges. Or you may wander through downtown Washington (30min) to encounter some of the friendliest folks around and/or stop in for coffee and a dose of local art at the Rowdy Rooster in historic Lexington (10min). Kayak the Broad River, and drop in to Goodness Grows on Hwy 77 for some beautiful plants. Shaking Rock in Lexington is another unique spot off the beaten path to visit. Athens is a 30-40 min drive from the farm. Still not sure what to do? Let us know and we will be happy to provide suggestions!

Do you like camping? Are you a beginner or veteran explorer? Our glamping tent stay is not a 5-star hotel but it is a 5-star campsite with super friendly hosts. We will do our best to ensure your stay is exceptional. Our daughter, Elsie - 3 years old in December 2019, loves for children to visit and play. And one more note, we are out in the country so you will likely hear many crickets, frogs, various birds and possibly coyotes at night.
